Better dentistry,
built in practice
and shared
with purpose.
I’m Dr. Miyen Kwek—a dentist and educator. My work brings together comprehensive patient care, oral surgery, implants, digital dentistry and the practical systems that help clinicians and dental teams do their best work.

About
Look beyond
the single tooth.
My philosophy is simple: look beyond the single tooth, understand the whole patient and plan care that is built to last.
I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto in 1997. After practising in Toronto and Burlington, I moved to Kitchener in 1999 and founded New Hamburg Dental Group in 2002. I later helped bring the same community-focused approach to practices in Wellesley, Drayton and Breslau.
Today, I practise in New Hamburg. I have mentored dentists through practical, hands-on education in oral surgery, implants and integrated digital workflows.
That means clear explanations, thoughtful follow-up and treatment designed to prevent disease, wear, fracture and avoidable tooth loss.

Areas
of focus.

Comprehensive care and long-term planning
Good dentistry starts with a complete picture. I focus on diagnosis, risk, priorities and sequencing so that patients and clinicians can make informed decisions—not just solve the most obvious problem in front of them.
Oral surgery and implant dentistry
Oral surgery and the replacement of missing teeth with dental implants have been long-standing clinical interests. I continue to pursue advanced education in implant therapy and bone and tissue regeneration, and I teach general-surgery concepts to other dentists.
Digital dentistry
Digital tools are most valuable when they make care clearer, more predictable and more efficient. My work has included oral scanning, CBCT, integrated CAD/CAM technology and same-day restorative workflows.
Clinical efficiency and case acceptance
Strong clinical care also depends on how a practice communicates and operates. I teach practical ways to combine technology, efficient systems, clear case presentation and ethical patient communication.
Education and practice growth
I enjoy helping dentists, associates and teams translate good ideas into everyday practice. My teaching connects clinical excellence with the systems, confidence and communication needed to build a healthy practice.
Practical learning
Courses & talks.
My education is designed for general dentists, associates, practice leaders, treatment coordinators and dental teams. Formats have included conference lectures, full-day programs and hands-on teaching.
